COMMITTED TO SUSTAINABILITY:

Sustainability is core to our business both philosophically and practically.

We identified the global scale of the urinary incontinence problem and created a herbal solution.

WE IDENTIFIED:

The scale of the landfill problem created by the reliance on disposable incontinence pads.

Our goal is to help resolve incontinence, improve quality of life for sufferers of all ages and deliver a sustainable solution for the environment.

MANUFACTURING:

We are committed to ethical and sustainable sourcing and farming.

The herbs we use are hand harvested, organic where possible, and grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides. We support additional planting of Crateva forests and for any wildcrafted herbs that are used in our products. We use recyclable packaging for our products.

GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF:

Just as no one wants to talk about incontinence, no one wants to talk about or deal with the associated environmental problem. We do! And we are proud to be part of the solution.

A GLOBAL ISSUE:

Adult incontinence pads now outsell baby nappies in most countries.

Adult incontinence pads are the fastest-growing household products category (growing by 50% every five years). They are also the third largest non-biodegradable landfill issue globally.

HITTING HOME:

1 in 4 Australians
have incontinence.

On average, each of these six million Australians contribute 1000 incontinence pads per year / per adult to landfill.

It is estimated that incontinence products account for 148,000 tonnes of Australian waste every year.

This waste contributes to leachate contaminating waterways, produces greenhouse gases, and the plastic biodegrades into micro plastics.

A GROWING CONCERN:

And the waste
issue is only growing…

Bladder weakness increases with age and, due to global ageing populations, the adult incontinence pad industry is booming. It is predicted to be worth $43 billion by 2025. This also means that $43 billion worth of these products will be heading straight to landfill.

We are putting our research findings into tangible, positive action for the wellbeing of people and the environment.

Urox® is a sustainable solution for incontinence.

Clinical trial results prove that at 2 months of use, Urox® eliminates the need for pads for a quarter of people, and cuts pad usage down to one or nil per day for 75% of people.* Urox® reduces on average up to 1000 pads per person per year from landfill (*Schoendorfer, 2018)

We are taking our environmental commitment further…

The European Union has already moved to ban adult absorbent products from landfill and we are proactively working towards having a similar stewardship scheme for incontinence products implemented in Australia.

We are instigating and supporting the addition of these products to the Product Stewardship Centre list.

A KEY TO SOLVING THIS PROBLEM IS:

We share our research and findings as widely as possible.

We educate the nutraceutical industry; healthcare and medical specialists and consumers on all aspects of improving bladder health and reducing waste.
